In the past, Trends Mobile was distributor for E-TEN / glofiish models of PDA phones so we had more control over warranty and ROMs which gave us time to R&D on developing the softwares, however as we are now taking stocks from local distributors we are faced with many challenges.

 

For HTC models, ROM releases are only available a few months after a phone is launched. Once the ROM is made available more likely than not, a replacement model may already be launched resulting in the inability to obtain local stocks model which we have invested our R&D time inside.

 

Trends Mobile strengths lies in software. Anyone can slap a sticker or cover onto a phone. Some even go to the extent to wreck the camera physically but you can't do much about HTC's camera software.

 

We have booked only 30 units of HTC Touch 3G for non-camera modification so grab them now because the next release will only be in another 2-3 months.

 

 

1. Who handles the warranty for your non-camera modified phones?

   In a way all returns come back to Trends Mobile for our modified phones. This is because HTC does no accept any tampering to the  
   phone. Trends Mobile will restore back the camera before sending in to HTC service location.

 

2. Can we purchase the HTC Touch 3G from elsewhere and have you do the modification for us?

    Yes you can, unfortunately warranty in this case is voided. Cost for such modification is priced at $80/- Turnaround is 1-2 working
    days

 

3. How much does it cost to convert the phone back to camera phone?
    If the phone was purchased from Trends Mobile, conversion back to camera phone will cost $40. Again conversion turnaround time is 1-2 days
